The historic charm of the pub really adds to the whole experience. I loved the renovated shower and the old-school continental breakfast was a delightful touch. Plus, the food and drinks in the lovely pub downstairs were simply delicious, creating an inviting atmosphere.

Decent historic charm with classic architecture. The location near a lively pub scene adds a rough-around-the-edges vibe that some might find appealing.

Chairs in the shared kitchen were old and ripped, giving off a worn feeling. The shared facilities lacked attention. the kitchen was grubby and the bathroom showers showed signs of neglect. Noise from the street and pub patrons made it hard to sleep, combined with rattling windows that disturbed the peace.

The walls are quite thin, leading to noise disturbances from neighboring rooms!!! Confusion about reservations was frustrating to experience!!! The communal areas could use more attention to detail!!!

It was an ideal choice for a lightning trip in Hobart with good value considering the price it charged. I particularly enjoyed the seafood chowder for dinner – it was huge! Just remember to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

i had a great time at shipwrights arms during my stay. location was perfect for exploring hobart, and i loved the vibe in the bar. the food was delicious, and the room was clean and comfy, definitely exceeded my expectations.
